Interns are a great way to augment your company team while also providing valuable experience and exposure to someone interested in learning more about a potential career move. Interns bring energy, enthusiasm, and often bring new perspectives to organizations while also providing valuable additional support and back-up.
This summer, KMA has hired two interns:
- Sara McKersie is a Maine native and a recent graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut where she majored in psychology. This summer Sara has worked closely with the KMA team to get a better understanding of all aspects of human resources, and the KMA approach in particular. Sara has helped with reference checks, creating and maintaining the company LinkedIn page, recruiting, and organizational branding. In August, Sara heads to Bowling Green State University where she will be working on her doctorate in industrial organizational psychology.
- Corinne Parsloe is a senior at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. There she is majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources and a minor in General Communications. At KMA, Corinne has worked alongside the KMA team gaining valuable experience with employee handbook reviews, performance management, department audits, and federal and state compliance. Originally from Westfield, New Jersey, Corinne is spending the summer in Falmouth, Maine. She plans to make human resources her career.
