The Central Maine Human Resources Association (CMHRA) presents “Understanding the Fair Labor Standards Act” at its March 2016 chapter meeting, which is being sponsored by KMA Human Resources Consulting.

Guest speaker Patty Colarossi, from the US Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, provides an in depth review of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Her presentation focuses on the federal minimum wage, overtime, recordkeeping, and child labor provisions.

Patty has been with the US Department of Labor/Wage and Hour Division since 1990, where she first worked as an investigator before serving as the Community Outreach and Resource Planning Specialist for the Boston District Office starting in August 2011. In this role, she assists with sustaining wage and hour compliance by providing educational outreach and support to employers, employees, and various organizations that have an interest in wage and hour issues.
