From the HR pros at Mineral
Starting January 1, 2026, agricultural employees will need to be paid at least the state minimum wage, which is currently $14.65 per hour (and adjusted annually based on the consumer price index). This more than doubles the minimum for these employees, who can currently be paid as little as the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour.
Wage Statement Requirement
Employers must also provide agricultural employees with a wage statement for each pay period showing the pay period dates, total hours worked, total earnings, and itemized deductions. The wage statement can be provided in writing or electronically, but if provided electronically, employees must be able to access and print it at no cost.
