Dear KMA community,
You may have already heard the exciting news that KMA is now part of Skillcloud Human Capital Management Solutions, but I wanted to share more about what this moment means for us, and where we’re headed.
When I started KMA – at my kitchen table almost 20 years ago – the driving force was simple: I wanted to build a business rooted in flexibility, balance, and meaningful work. As an HR department of one, I rarely had the space to be strategic. I knew small and midsized businesses felt the same strain, and that became KMA’s niche: providing outsourced HR support to organizations that needed expertise but couldn’t yet invest in a full team.
What happened next was honestly remarkable. Our growth came from the people who joined us, talented HR and recruiting professionals who were not only experts in their discipline, but deeply good human beings. At their core, they wanted to help clients do the right thing. That value became KMA’s North Star, and it continues to guide us today.
Then came what I have dubbed KMA 2.0: the COVID era. It was a turning point. We doubled in revenue, reinvested in technology, strengthened our systems, and built out the internal support our consultants needed. Our reputation for excellence was cemented because we showed up for our clients when they needed us most.
Now, we enter KMA 3.0: becoming part of Skillcloud.
To me, this doesn’t feel like an ending so much as a natural evolution. The HR landscape is changing, especially with the emergence of AI and new technologies that will transform how professional services are delivered. Joining Skillcloud gives us the deeper resources, expanded services, and technology investments to continue delivering exceptional work, while freeing us to be even better strategic partners to our clients.
This transition is sparking the entrepreneurial spirit of KMA’s early days. We have always been willing to try, adjust, learn, and try again. That agility has carried us through every chapter, and it will serve us well now as we become part of something bigger.
I’m truly energized by how fully Skillcloud has embraced KMA, welcoming our people, our expertise, and our long‑standing culture of doing the right thing. And Skillcloud’s mission and values align seamlessly with ours:
Committed to our partners.
Obsessed with our clients.
Devoted to each other.
Excited about our future.
We couldn’t say it better.
I’ll be honest: leaving behind the KMA name and brand is bittersweet. I am deeply proud of what the team has built in two decades. But we’re in a moment where partnering with a larger enterprise positions us – and our clients – for the future. With the pace of technological change, especially in AI, this is exactly where we need to be.
KMA carries on, just under a new name: Skillcloud.
As always, I’m available for any questions or conversations you’d like to have as we navigate an exciting new chapter.
With deep appreciation for this community,
Kim Anania
Director of Corporate Development
