Karin Nicoll

“As a human resources professional, I believe it is important to be just that: a resource to the people we support. Listening to the employees and asking thought provoking questions leads to a better understanding of the business, the people and the culture. It is important to strike a balance between supporting and leading. HR can best support organizations by first understanding the business, and lead by helping to drive change where appropriate. I endeavor to reflect this philosophy in all the work that I do with my clients.”

Karin Nicoll has nearly two decades of human resources experience, preceded by many years in leadership.

She has supported retail, manufacturing, engineering, non-profit, property management, and other industries in the areas of strategic planning, performance management, benefits, staff development and compliance.

Karin received a Bachelor of Science from Charter Oak State College in Corporate Communication, and a Master of Science from Quinnipiac University in Organizational Leadership/Human Resources.

She holds a PHR and a SHRM-CP Certification as well as a DDI (Development Dimensions International) facilitator certification.

A Connecticut native, Karin embraces the snow and enjoys skiing and snowshoeing and just being outdoors. As an Appalachian hike leader (Connecticut branch) and section hiker, Karin and her husband have hiked about 13 percent of the Appalachian Trail. She enjoys running, yoga, kayaking, cooking, reading historical fiction and travel, and hopes to someday get to Australia and New Zealand.
