Deb Bartol has joined the KMA team as a consultant. Deb has more than 20 years of Human Resources leadership experience, including employee relations, ADA and FMLA compliance and leave management, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, employment law, and onboarding.

Most of her experience has been in the global banking industry; however, she has also worked in the non-profit/social services sectors, and health care software industry.

“I’ve always said that when I’m finished with my career in HR, I’m going to write a book! I have learned so much from the two plus decades I have worked in HR,” explains Deb. “Treating people how you expect to be treated is key. You must never make assumptions about people; you should listen to your intuition and common sense—it always prevails.”

A member of the Society of Human Resources Management, Deb has developed and facilitated training in how to conduct workplace investigations.

Deb lives in Stockton Springs, Maine with her husband. She has two grown sons and is the proud grandmother of four grandchildren. In her free time, Deb loves to golf, garden, and boat on the Penobscot River.
