KMA has been growing quite rapidly! Over the past few months, we have welcomed seven new consultants to our team, and we are so pleased to introduce them.
Julie Banta, Recruiting Consultant
“Over the years I have partnered with companies from a wide variety of industries to assist them in growing their business by finding the right talent. Building relationships with both the clients you serve as well as the individuals you are placing is so important in becoming a trusted advisor. As recruiters, we impact people’s lives and help them move forward — client and talent. At KMA we are here to support and guide with integrity and excellence, and I am thrilled to be a part of this team.”
Julie has over 15 years of experience in recruiting, employee relations, workforce development, sales, and marketing.
She has experience recruiting for entry level jobs to executive positions, in industries that include manufacturing to nonprofit organizations, and everything in between. She has assisted companies with recruitment plans, reviewed policies and handbooks, supported day-to-day operations for clients onsite, and so much more.
Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina with a minor in History/Religion. She also has a Certified Staffing Professional certificate (CSP) from the American Staffing Association.
Julie lives in the Augusta, Maine area and enjoys participating in dog competitions with her two Collies, one of which is a licensed therapy dog. Julie also loves mowing her 6-acre field, decorating, crafting and spending time with close family and friends.

Marcy Kamin, Recruiting Consultant
“I love the win-win of recruiting. It’s tremendously rewarding to help people move into new positions, whether it’s their first professional position, the next step in a career they love, or the opportunity to return to work after a period of unemployment. At the same time, it’s equally rewarding to bring new talent into organizations and help hiring managers find the right employees to contribute to the success of their teams. I’ve been fortunate to be able to work with many of Maine’s best employers — in many industries and settings — and I’m delighted to be able to continue to do that working with KMA’s broad base of clients and employers.”
Marcy brings more than a decade of recruiting and human resources experience, as well as a strong background in program management, project management and E-commerce experience.
She has worked with a wide range of industries, including biotech, financial technology, healthcare, government, e-commerce and retail — recruiting at all levels of organizations, from entry-level to executive positions.
Marcy holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law, a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Bentley University, and a Certification in Mediation from the University of Southern Maine.
Marcy loves spending time with her daughter and rescue dog. Favorites are time at the ocean, reading, and volunteering for causes that are important to her. She loves to travel and share adventures with family and friends.
Debbie Pearl, SPHR, KMA Consultant/Recruiter
“My passion is helping match great people to great opportunities by sourcing and recognizing top talent. Relationships are the most critical part of any search. Our KMA clients are active partners in the process. Integrity, transparency, and fairness are critical in my interactions with clients and candidates.”
Debbie has over 30 years of Human Resources experience, specializing in talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development, acquisitions, process improvement and development and HR/ATS integration and training.
She has worked in a variety of industries, including healthcare, biomedical, logistics and distribution and information technology.
Debbie has an AS in Business Administration, and is SPHR and MBTI certified.
She is an animal lover and advocate, and in her free time enjoys cooking, baking, gardening and being outdoors.
Sandy Rogers, Consultant
“Mark Twain said, ‘Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.’ I guess that means that I am not working. I am so blessed to truly enjoy what I do. My passion is human resources. I love working with leaders and employees on all things HR. People want to feel valued and heard, and if I can be a part of that process, then I am fulfilled!
Sandy has more than 25 years of Human Resources experience, specializing in organizational strategy, coaching, development, recruitment, federal and state compliance, employee relations, performance and talent management, policy development, mergers & acquisitions and, more recently, in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry.
Sandy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Salem State University and a Certificate in Life Coaching from SWIHA, and is SHRM certified. She is also a Reiki Master.
Sandy enjoys spending time boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with her family.
Ree Russell, SHRM, Recruiting Assistant
“What I love most about recruiting is that it is such a positive experience — throughout the entire hiring process the candidate is excited to hear from and speak with the recruiter, and the recruiter is ecstatic to have found a great candidate. It’s a ‘win-win’ for everyone involved. Recruiters have a first-hand impact on improving the lives of others by finding the right position for their skills and interests, and by finding the company the right person for their team. It is an honor to have the opportunity to make such a profound impact.”
With over 20 years of experience in human resources, student services, and operations, Ree has managed large-scale projects, people, and organized (and reorganized) a variety of office systems — both physically and digitally. She has a love of color-coded spreadsheets, a deep sense of the big picture, and agrees 100% with Myers Briggs that she is an ISTJ. She is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management.
Ree lives on a 10-acre homestead farm with her partner, two sons, six goats, five ducks, 30-something chickens, and many indoor cats. She enjoys reading, writing, organic gardening, fermenting foods, and spending time outdoors.
Marie Tobin, Recruiting Consultant
“Understanding the company culture, team dynamics and overall expectations outside of the job description is essential to finding quality talent. Taking the extra time with the candidate to understand what environment they will thrive in is equally important. When this connection is made, it is extremely rewarding. A successful match that has longevity is what I strive for.”
Marie has nearly two decades of experience recruiting top talent — from entry level to executives. With a concentration in technical and sales, she also has extensive experience hiring within marketing, finance, accounting, professional services, human resources, manufacturing, and health care.
She graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
Marie lives on the seacoast of New Hampshire with her husband and three children. A foodie at heart, she loves to try new recipes and restaurants. In her spare time, she enjoys working out, reading, and spending time at the beach with her family and friends.
