With record low unemployment and nearly two open jobs for every job seeker, the need for strategic and thoughtful total rewards is more important than ever. Candidates will be considering much more than just salary when accepting an offer, or deciding whether to stay with their current employer. Conducting an annual assessment of your benefits will ensure that you are staying competitive and keeping or acquiring the talent you need to be successful as an organization.
This year, KMA again conducted an employee benefits survey in order to gain detailed insights into the New-England specific employer market, including:
- Paid Time Off
- Insurance
- Retirement
- Flexible Work
- Reimbursements
Our 2022 survey included many of the same questions as our 2020-21 survey in order to uncover trends and identify how priorities have shifted. We also added some new questions to understand the ongoing impact of remote work and employee-centric plans. We asked respondents to answer questions related to health, wellness, financial security, workplace flexibility, and company perks, among other areas.
The results of this survey will help employers understand current benefit offerings and provide data to utilize in creating a Total Rewards package that is competitive, market based, and data-driven.
Here’s a preview of what you’ll learn in the report:
- 61% of respondents offer tuition assistance/educational benefit.
- 90% offer mental health services.
- 79% indicated they will continue to allow for remote work going forward.
Employee benefits continues to be a key recruiting and retention tool, and organizations need to understand their local market trends in order to remain relevant and competitive.
