Congratulations to all employers who participated in the 2014 “Best Places to Work in Maine” program. Whether you were named a best place to work or not, just the fact you were willing participate shows your genuine desire to develop a positive workplace environment.

KMA was is proud to have been a major sponsor of this year’s program, which saw 70 companies named to the annual list. An alphabetical listing of all 70 companies was released last month. Employers must have had at least 15 employees in the state of Maine, and must have applied to participate in the program by May 23, 2014. While there was a fee to participate in the program, based on employer size, this was not a pay to play program. Whether a company made the list depended solely on results from surveys of company employees conducted by Best Companies Group that looked at company employee benefits and policies as well as employee engagement and satisfaction.

As an HR consulting and organizational development company, KMA is always interested in efforts made by companies to improve the quality of their workplace environments. It’s good for a company’s employees, its customers, and ultimately the company’s bottom line.

To explore how KMA can help you join the ranks of the “Best Places to Work in Maine” in 2015 by getting a handle on compliance with state and Federal HR laws and regulations, employee relations issues, hiring and retention practices, and virtually any aspect of your Human Resources and organizational development needs, contact us today.
