Why did you choose to move into the HR field?

I’ve been looking for a change and a place where I could combine my years of learning about companies and people, and how businesses do things right and how they sometimes do things wrong. What attracted me to KMA was its reputation and business philosophy. KMA has a strong team approach, upbeat attitude, and giving nature, which I find refreshing.

What do you like best about working with KMA?

The work at KMA is challenging and changing, which I find very satisfying. No two days are alike. It’s also great to be part of such a strong team and a growing company.

What’s one take away from your professional experience that’s been meaningful to you?

I don’t think there’s just one takeaway, but rather a buildup over the years in my work as an auditor and revenue agent. I got to see how companies work and to experience all sorts of people and their styles, learning from both the good and the bad. In hindsight, it was all good experience for me in making me the person I am today.

Tell us a little about yourself.

I live in Portland with my husband, two teenage daughters, and our rescue dog. When I’m not working, I love to read, host parties, and go camping with family and friends. I also have done a lot of volunteer work over the years, especially in my local schools and the Parent/Teacher organization.
