LearningWorks is looking for gently used items for storytelling and pretend play.

LearningWorks therapists help kids explore and resolve their emotional struggles through the therapeutic use of play and toys. So as you do your spring cleaning, look for items such as:

  • Legos
  • Dollhouse furniture
  • Art supplies Sand and/or sand toys
  • Toys for pretend play

KMA urges you to help “pay it forward” by challenging your employees, family, and friends to pitch in. We will be accepting donations at our offices in Falmouth (350 US Route 1) through the month of April, or you can drop off items directly at LearningWorks at 181 Brackett Street, Portland, Maine.

Founded in 1967, LearningWorks (formerly Portland West) offers a variety of programs that provide opportunities for low-income families, adults, and at-risk youth across Maine to better themselves through education, mental health programs, and life skills learning.
